About YMA

Maranatha Youth Music Academy was originally established by Patrick Henry College in 2007—known as PHC Youth Music Academy—to serve the community and encourage local homeschooling families in their educational undertaking. 
 
Today, Maranatha is its own distinct music program, but the mission has not changed. Maranatha exists to proclaim the glory of God through music performance and provide educational opportunities for homeschool students. The Maranatha YMA Choir and Orchestra are comprised of high school and middle school students. 

Maranatha Children’s Music Academy was established in September 2023, fulfilling a long-held dream of having a children’s choir to partner with the Youth Music Academy. The Children's Music Academy trains students from ages 7-13 to worship God through music.
